MECHANICAL PACKING

All of our mechanical packings are made of asbestos-free materials. The packing are made for Pulp & Paper, Power Plants, Chemical, Wastewater Treatment, Valves, Boiler Feed, Oil & Refinery and Steam. The types of material they are made from are Synthetic, Acrylic, TFE, Kevlar, Graphite Filament, Grafoil Ribbon, Asbestos-Free Plastic, and Asbestos-Free Metallic.

387I

A round braided jacket of inconel wire inserted "S2" fiberglass over a specially designed extruded core containing chopped S2 fibers, graphitic binders plus corrosion inhibitors. An external coating of colloidal graphite dispersion is added, therefore providing a highly lubricated sealing surface and protective coating.

Steam valves, soot blowers, expansion joints, coupling gaskets or static seal where temperature and pressure are a concern.

G-58

Style G58 is a special braided flexible graphite for use as end rings or complete sealing rings in valve or pump applications for high or low pressures and temperatures. Offering excellent sealability, reduced volume loss, corrosion resistance, lubricity and heat dissipation.

Style 1330 is a braided synthetic fiber packing thoroughly impregnated with PTFE to enhance its chemical resistance, comformability, lubricity and sealability while retaining flexibility and resilience. Interlaced braided with PTFE dispersion.

For medium to high speed rotary shaft applications handling a wide variety of services including mild acids, and alkalies, solvents, water, steam, etc., in rotary or reciprocating pumps as well as valves.

Style 1340 is a excellent general service packing braided from synthetic fiber thoroughly impregnated with petroleum based lubricants plus an exterior graphite coating for ease of start up, lubricity, and gland adjustment.

K-1730

Style K1730 is a high strength abrasion resistant aramid packing. Especially suited for abrasive media service. Interlace braided aramid filament yarns containing PTFE and break in lubricant.

For medium speed rotary equipment, plunger and gear pumps where a high tensile, abrasion resistant but resilient packing is required. Handles a wide variety of services including mild acids and caustics, slurry, water and solvents.

1625-G

Style 1625G is a premium grade graphitic packing designed for severe service. This high tensile, chemical resistant material is ideal for the most difficult fluid handling applications that the chemical, petrochemical, power generation and/or other related industries have to offer. Ideal for high or low pressures and temperatures, while maintaining adjustability, conformity, flexiblity and excellent heat dissipating characteristics. Style 1625G meets or exceeds specifications where 100 ppm (or less) leachable chlorides are required.

C-1056

Style C1056 is a resilient FDA compliant PTFE packing with an external lubrication. All ingredients contained in this style are in compliance with the Food and Drug Administration requirements. Valve and rotary equipment specifically requiring the use of a FDA compliant material.

Style C1045 is a tightly braided PTFE packing thoroughly impregnated with a PTFE dispersion filling all voids therefore preventing leakage through its braided structure. Ideal for high pressure chemical or corrosive situations. Interlace braided 100% PTFE filament yarn containing a PTFE dispersion.

For use on valve stems, rotary or reciprocating services handling all chemicals, gases and solvents except molten metals.

C-1065

Style C1065 is a general all purpose braided graphited "PTFE" packing containing a silicone lubricant servicing a wide range of chemical and temperature applications in the valve and pump industries. In addition to its resilience, it maintains dimensional stability while displaying excellent heat dissipating properties and extrusion resistance characteristics. Interlace braided from graphite impregnated expanded PTFE yarns containing a high temperature silicone break-in lubricant.

Rotary, centrifugal and plunger pumps as well as valves servicing solvents, acids, chemicals and similar services. Also used in other type rotating and/or static applications where chemical resistance and heat are a factor.
